Kate Huling is a Brooklyn business owner who believes that white - owned businesses should lead the way in disrupting systems of oppression and paying reparations to communities most targeted by capitalism and white supremacist delusion.
After 25 years of owning businesses inBrooklyn, and being a participant in gentrification, Kate believes that businesses can and shouldweave reparations into their business models.
Kate currently runs Marlow Goods, a locally made leather goods and apparel company that
operates out of her store: Shop Collective in Williamsburg. She and her husband run restaurants :
Diner, Marlow & Sons, Roman’s and Achilles Heel, butcher shop Marlow & Daughters, wine
shop Stranger Wines, baker She Wolf and Events business Marlow Events.
