Naquasia Pollard is a visionary leader, justice advocate, and community builder dedicated to rewriting the narrative for system-impacted girls and women. As the Founder and CEO of PureLegacee Inc., Naquasia brings her lived experience and relentless determination to the forefront, creating safe spaces where healing, leadership, and transformation are possible.
At just 19 years old, Naquasia was incarcerated for 15 years and gave birth while detained at Rikers Island. Despite the system’s attempts to break her, she rose, earning a degree in Sociology and Psychology during her incarceration and emerging as a fierce voice for justice, healing, and reform.
Since her release in 2017
Naquasia has used her voice to elevate the stories and power of directly impacted women. She has worked at the intersection of advocacy, service, and policy—supporting women an girls through reentry, speaking truth to power through campaigns like Beyond Rosies and Herstories, and contributing to national reform efforts. In 2018, she founded PureLegacee to ensure that the next generation of young girls never has to feel alone in the fight to reclaim their future.
With every girl PureLegacee reaches, Naquasia is planting the seeds of liberation and rewriting what’s possible for system-impacted youth nationwide.

Through her leadership, PureLegacee has grown into a sanctuary of healing and empowerment. As a certified Credible Messenger, educator at The New School, Reform Alliance Ambassador, and alumna of multiple leadership fellowships, Naquasia trains and mentors others to lead with truth, purpose, and power.
